Amy Akers is a corporate transactions lawyer with experience in business transactions, real estate transactions, and intellectual property protection. She advises public and private entities on a broad range of general corporate and commercial matters to include formation, real estate transactions, governance and operations. While attending international business law classes at Beijing University in Beijing, China, Amy clerked at the Jun He Law Offices in Beijing advising on multi-national projects. Professionally trained in renewable energy law, Amy believes in striking a balance for reliable, sustainable, renewable and affordable energy. Negotiating an Industrial Agreement between a public entity and private energy company, she ultimately increased the public entity’s overall annual budget by more than 210%. Prior to her legal career Amy worked in the construction industry ensuring the seamless completion of commercial projects where she learned the value in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with government officials, stake holders, investors and the general public. Amy is based in Austin but also covers Central Texas.
